Winchester Model 70 Pre '64 bolt action .375 H&H magnum 25" bbl

Manufacture date: 1948
This used Winchester Model 70 was manufacturered in 1948. 375 Mag caliber, 25" barrel with rear folding sight and front hood on the front sight. Does have a side plate scope mount on the receiver. Metal has been reblued with scratches in the bluing at the tip of barrel & hood on the right side. Wood has light handling marks from normal use with the Red Winchester butt pad.  Missing one screw in stock.  The Winchester Model 70 rifle, of course, needs little introduction being the most widely known bolt action sporting rifle in the world. Since the Winchester Model 70 made its appearance in the late 1930’s, it has been the standard by which all other bolt action rifles are judged. Seldom will you find an article written on another make and model bolt action rifle without reference to the Winchester Model 70. Please see pictures of auctual firearm for best description.
